Within the Boy Scouts of America, there are three merit badges that discuss citizenship.  They are Citizenship in the World, Citizenship in the Nation, and Citizenship in the Community.  It is important to think about our role as a citizen in each of these areas.  There is much good we can do as we choose to get involved.  I want my kids to realize they are part of something that is bigger than themselves.
